Honor as announced a new mid-range smartphone in China, the . It comes with 5G support, features a pop-up camera and isn’t heavy on the pockets. The company is looking to increase the adoption ratio of 5G over time in China and affordable smartphone are one way to ensure that people get a taste of the next-generation telecommunications.

Honor X10 features a 6.63-inch display with a Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) resolution. The screen has minimal bezels on all sides and uses a pop-up mechanism for the selfie camera. This gives the screen a 20:9 aspect ratio with support for 90Hz refresh rate. It is available in three colours-- Lightspeed Silver, Probing Black and Racing Blue.


The X10 is powered by homegrown Kirin 820 5G chipset with an octa-core processor clocked at up to 2.36GHz and hexa-core Mali-G57 graphics processor. This is paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB storage options to choose from. The storage can be further expanded up to 256GB via hybrid SIM card slot.


The phone comes with a triple camera setup on the back that consists of a primary 40MP camera with an f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera with 120-degrees field-of-view and a 2MP depth sensor. The rear camera array is supported by an LED flash and can shoot in 4K at 30fps. As for the selfie camera, there’s a 16MP camera housed within a motorized pop-up module on the top.


Honor X10 features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and has a 4,300mAh battery with support for 22.5W fast charging out-of-the-box.


Honor X10 starts at CNY 1,899 (~Rs 20,200) for the base variant with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage, CNY 2,199 (~Rs 23,400) for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant and CNY 2,399 (~Rs 25,500) for the maxed-out version with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.
